Tonight’s Meatball Monday medicinal ingredient is Broccoli! And what goes better with broccoli than cheddar cheese!?! Just over a pound combination of ground chuck & pork, 1/3 red onion & 3 garlic cloves, handful of flour & egg to stick together… salt & pepper to taste. Let us sneak in that premium fuel anyway we can, on our quests!!

Broccoli contains antioxidants, which neutralize cell damage in the body. This helps to lower inflammation and protect against chronic illness.

The fiber and potassium in broccoli have been found to lower the risk of heart disease by reducing cholesterol and improving cardiovascular function.

It is also rich in calcium, which is necessary for strong bones. And high in vitamin K, which is needed to help your bones absorb and use calcium.

A less known benefit is the bioactive compounds in broccoli and other green vegetables improve cognitive health. Eating a diet rich in these may slow mental decline and support nervous system function.
